The Holy Bible Reina-Valera in Spanish
(Reina-Valera 1909 in Spanish)
Old Testament and New Testament
For 248 years the Reina-Valera version was not revised in its entirety. In 1708 and 1831 the New Testament was revised, but it was not until 1850 that a complete revision was made. This work was done by the American Bible Society. During the last half of the 19th century Reina-Valera went through several revisions. The revision of 1909 was carried out by the British and Foreign Bible Society and is the one that prevailed in the evangelical churches for 51 years. Today there are still many people and denominations that enjoy reading the 1909 version.
A beautiful Bible in the version of Reina Valera 1909. It is the oldest edition that circulates in the evangelical ecclesiastical milieu of the recognized and highly appreciated Reina-Valera version.

Review of the Trinitarian Bible Society
The Trinitarian Bible Society is working on a revision project of the Reina-Valera version 1909 (RV1909). The objective is to apply, as far as possible, the structures of the sentences and the original vocabulary used by Reina and Valera, but accepting the current orthographic rules of the Royal Spanish Academy and discarding those words that have changed their meaning. Also it is avoided to link Reina-Valera version 1909 with the particular characteristics and languages of other translations. It is expected that the revised New Testament will be in circulation by 2014 in several countries.
